A One-woman play

A raw and darkly comedic performance which delves into a societal taboo- female ambition. As Sarah Jones grapples with rejection and isolation from her dream career, she finds herself consumed by desperation, and begins to question just how far she’s willing to push herself to bring her aspirations to life. This tragicomedy explores the Electra Complex within a contemporary framework, intertwining themes of love, obsession and the relentless pursuit of ambition...What would you be prepared to sacrifice to achieve your dream?

Our protagonist Sarah Jones has been described as a 21st century Lady Macbeth, as her cut-throat desire to succeed will stop at nothing, even if it means confronting her darkest secrets...

Professional critics have compared this work to Succession, Fleabag, Mad Men, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, this play is an unstoppable cultural moment.

My story

Father, Away She Goes was  written when I was 16 and debuted at the Edinburgh Fringe at 17. I am a passionate actor and playwright, bringing my artistic vision to life through a powerful one-woman tragicomedy. Now 18, I am preparing to return to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2026, ready to set the theatre scene alight with my provocative and controversial exploration of female ambition...

    One4Review 4.5/5

"This young actress, who also penned the script, delivers a tour de force that is as precise and controlled as it is emotionally volatile...My only complaint? It ended too soon. Kolb’s performance is flawless, almost balletic in its precision — a riveting piece from a remarkable emerging talent."
